Rather expected game when 14th ranked Shaanxi Tianze (1-12) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (5-8) 85-78 on Wednesday. The former international forward Shuang Zhao (188-90) stepped up and scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and center Lingge Zhang (187-99) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Shenyang Golden Lions players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bahamas center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: G.Washington) responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds and center Jing An (184-95) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Shenyang Golden Lions moved-up to eleventh place. Shaanxi Tianze lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Shenyang Golden Lions will face higher ranked Shandong (#9) in Jinan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shaanxi Tianze will play at home against Bayi Kylin (#10) and hope to win that game.
