Rather expected game when 10th ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (3-12) was smashed at home by eighth ranked BC Nokia (7-9) 91-70. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. Lapuan Korikobrat was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lapuan Korikobrat's 32. Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87, agency: Alti Sport) stepped up and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and American point guard Vincent Council (186-90, college: Providence) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Jussi Turja (194-90) responded with 21 points and American Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Nokia moved-up to seventh place. Lapuan Korikobrat lost fifth consecutive game. Lapuan Korikobrat at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. BC Nokia will play against bottom-ranked UU-Korihait (#11) in Uusikaupunki in the next round. Lapuan Korikobrat will play on the road against the league's leader Salon Vilpas and will have a slim chance for a victory.
