An interesting game for Breidablik (10-3) which hosted in Kopavogur 4th ranked Hamar (8-4). Second ranked Breidablik managed to get a 9-point victory 83-74. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hamar. They outrebounded Hamar 49-34 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Snorri Vignisson (193-97) chipped in 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Larry Thomas (185-93, college: Birm.Southern) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Thorgeir Gislason (188-95) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Breidablik have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-3 record having just one point less than leader Skallagrimur. Hamar at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Snaefell. Breidablik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hamar will play against Vestri (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
