Leader BC Lulea delivered the ninth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Umea (4-7) 103-82. BC Lulea looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists. The former international Tom Liden (203-87) helped adding 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard Arik Smith (185-93, college: Cal Lutheran) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Lulea (9-2) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Loser Umea keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. BC Lulea will meet Boras Basket (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Umea will play against KFUM Jamtland in Ostersund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
