Regular Season Round 10: Tartu Ulikool - TTU 79-71

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Tartu Ulikool (5-4) defeated at home 7th ranked TTU (1-8) 79-71 on Friday. TTU trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 22-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-79 at the end of the game. Swedish center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Lithuanian Vytenis Cizauskas (187-92) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures. American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Oliver Metsalu (196-93) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. TTU's coach Rait Kabin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tartu Ulikool moved-up to fourth place. Loser TTU keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Tartu Ulikool will meet Parnu (#6) on the road in the next round. TTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tallinn to the arena Kalev/Cramo.
