The game in Stykkisholmur was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Breidablik (8-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Snaefell (5-9). Breidablik managed to secure a 5-point victory 71-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Ivory Crawford (178-92, college: Illinois) who scored 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. International forward Audur Olafsdottir (173-92) chipped in 18 points. Crawford is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American swingman Kristen McCarthy (180-90, college: Temple) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and international forward Berglind Gunnarsdottir (175-93) added 20 points respectively for the hosts. Breidablik moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stjarnan. Snaefell lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Breidablik will meet league's leader Valur in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Snaefell will play against Keflavik (#3) and hope to secure a win.
