Regular Season Round 10: Amyntas Dafnis - Ermis Agias 92-66

The game in Athens supposed to be also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Ermis Agias (5-5) played at the court of seventh ranked Amyntas Dafnis (6-4). Amyntas Dafnis smashed Ermis Agias 92-66. It looked good early as Ermis Agias took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Amyntas Dafnis had a 29-15 second period charge getting the lead and Ermis Agias was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-92. Amyntas Dafnis dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ermis Agias' 28 and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Amyntas Dafnis forced 20 Ermis Agias turnovers. Forward Andriano Topalis (201-87) scored 24 points and 5 steals (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Spyros Diamantopoulos (197-83) chipped in 15 points and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side forward Dimitris Lolas (203-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Giannis Demertzis (194-83) scored 8 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amyntas Dafnis moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Ermis Agias dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Amyntas Dafnis will play against Karditsas (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ermis Agias will play against Psychiko (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
