No shocking result in a game when third ranked Diamond Dolphins (10-13) beat 6th ranked Shimane Magic (5-18) in Nagoya 77-70 on Saturday. Guard Takaya Sasayama (178-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-92) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Diamond Dolphins players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and Kimitake Sato (186-84) added 16 points in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Diamond Dolphins moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Shimane Magic lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with 18 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will face Toyama Grouses (#4) on the road in the next round.
