Everything went according to plan when second ranked Leganes (9-3) won against at home 10th ranked Distrito Olimpico (4-8) 58-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Leganes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Kiara Kudron (188, college: Gonzaga) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Irene Goicoechea (173-94) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Daira Varas (193-89) who recorded 9 points and 11 rebounds and Blanca Ruiz-de-Asin (175-97) added 9 points and 4 steals respectively. Distrito Olimpico's coach Juan Manuel Ruiz let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Leganes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 9-3 record having just three points less than leader Gran Canaria, which they share with Adelantados. Distrito Olimpico lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Leganes will face CVCD Granada (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Distrito Olimpico will play against Promete and hope to win that game.
