Regular Season Round 12: BAM Poprad - UKF Nitra 78-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked BAM Poprad's (5-6) home victory over 5th ranked UKF Nitra (4-8) 78-62. BAM Poprad shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a good game for Zuzana Ivancakova (178-93) who led her team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Lucia Hadacova (185-95) contributed with 7 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Laura Dubenova (189-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Laura Horvatova (166-97) added 13 points in the effort for UKF Nitra. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BAM Poprad maintains fourth position with 5-6 record. UKF Nitra lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Banska Bystrica. BAM Poprad will play against Banska Bystrica (#6) at home in the next round. UKF Nitra will play against the league's second-placed Piestanske C. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
