Very important is a road loss of second ranked L'Hospitalet (9-4) against thirteenth ranked Real Canoe (6-7) on Saturday night. Visiting L'Hospitalet was defeated by Real Canoe in a tough game in Madrid 69-75. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of L'Hospitalet. L'Hospitalet was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 26-18 charge of Real Canoe, which allowed them to win the game. Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) nailed 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Daniel De-La-Rua (181-97) accounted for 14 points. Power forward Ivan Garcia (206-86) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) added 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for L'Hospitalet in the defeat. Four L'Hospitalet players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Real Canoe moved-up to twelfth place. L'Hospitalet at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with La Roda and Lucentum. Real Canoe will play against higher ranked La Roda (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. L'Hospitalet will play against Cambados and hopes to get back on the winning track.
