Third ranked Okapi Aalstar (7-3) crushed at home 8th ranked Limburg United (3-7) by 26 points 95-69, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Okapi Aalstar shot 65.4 percent from the field and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Okapi Aalstar outrebounded Limburg United 34-18 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Okapi Aalstar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of Senne Geukens (192-83) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American Travis Releford (198-90, college: Kansas) responded with 27 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international forward Wen-Boss Mukubu (198-83, college: UAB) scored 15 points. Okapi Aalstar moved-up to second place. Loser Limburg United keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Okapi Aalstar will face Antwerp Giants (#4) on the road in the next round. Limburg United will play against Basic-Fit Brussels (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
