Very important is a road loss of second ranked Waregem (9-4) against fifth ranked Ieper (10-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Waregem was defeated by Ieper in Ieper 73-63. Waregem was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Alexander Schepens (191-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Robin Spaens (180-92) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Ieper players scored in double figures. Center Bart-Willy Samaey (199-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Brecht Guillemyn (192-87) added 20 points in the effort for Waregem. Ieper have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Waregem at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Ieper will play against league's second-placed Gembo BBC in Borgerhout in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
