Regular Season Round 12: Avenida - Bembibre 77-65

LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (11-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Socinsa Bembibre (4-8) in Salamanca 77-65. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Socinsa Bembibre was better in third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of Brazilian center Erika De-Souza (197-82, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and international center Laura Nicholls (189-89, agency: ProDep Management) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Miguel Angel Ortega allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Brittany Brown (173-95, college: Florida St., agency: ProDep Management) with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-94, agency: ProDep Management) scored 10 points and 8 assists. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-1 record. Socinsa Bembibre at the other side keeps the eleventh place with eight games lost. Perfumerias Avenida will play against Campus Promete (#13) in Logrono in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Socinsa Bembibre will play at home against ASEFA Estudiantes and hopes to get back on the winning track.
