Regular Season Round 12: Ferrol - Sant Adria 70-62

An interesting game for Universitario de Ferrol (9-3) which hosted in Ferrol 4th ranked Sant Adria (7-5). Third ranked Universitario de Ferrol managed to get a 8-point victory 70-62. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-62. It was a good game for international power forward Maria Araujo (182-97) who led her team to a victory with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Alexis Prince (188-94, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Sant Adria's coach Fabian Tellez rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Universitario de Ferrol maintains third position with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Avenida. Newly promoted Sant Adria dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Gipuzkoa UPV. Universitario de Ferrol are looking forward to face Zamarat (#12) in Zamora in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sant Adria will play at home against Araski (#9) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
