The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Familia Schio (9-2) in San Martino di L on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked San Martino (7-4) 68-66. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Familia Schio. It was a great evening for American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Martina Fassina (183-99) helped adding 10 points. French center Isabelle Yacoubou (190-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and American Jolene Anderson (175-86, college: Wisconsin) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. San Martino moved-up to fourth place. Familia Schio at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. San Martino are looking forward to face Ragusa (#5) on the road in the next round. Familia Schio will play against the league's second-placed Venezia (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
