Regular Season Round 12: HNMKY U23 - Bisons Loimaa 77-78

The most exciting game of round 12 in the 1st Division took place in Helsinki. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 4th ranked HNMKY U23 (8-4) to first ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit (11-1) 78-77 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-77. It was a good game for American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) who saved his team from a defeat with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Guard Sebastian Booker (190-93) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Guard Tuure Takala (185-93) replied with 20 points and 5 assists and guard Jyri Eboreime (185-98) added 16 points in the effort for HNMKY U23. Newly promoted Loimaan Korikonkarit maintains first position in Division with 11-1 record. HNMKY U23 at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit are looking forward to face Aalto-Basket (#11) in Espoo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HNMKY U23 will play on the road against Aanekosken Huima (#8) in Aanekoski and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
