Regular Season Round 17: Ryukyu GK - Nishinomiya S. 89-75

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Ryukyu GK (18-5) beat 5th ranked Nishinomiya S. (5-18) in Okinawa 89-75 on Sunday. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Nishinomiya S.'s players. American forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). International guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) contributed with 23 points for the winners. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ryukyu GK have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-5 record. Newly promoted Nishinomiya S. keeps the fifth position with 18 games lost.
