Regular Season Round 12: Zwolle - Leeuwarden 87-66
Date: December 17, 2017
Rather expected game when 6th ranked Leeuwarden (5-7) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Zwolle (7-4) 87-66. The game was mostly controlled by Zwolle. Leeuwarden was better in second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Leeuwarden 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker (193-93, college: Oakland) who scored that evening 29 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Noah Dahlman (201-89, college: Wofford) supported him with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Zwolle's coach Herman van den Belt felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Nate Kratch (203-93, college: Santa Clara) did not help to save the game for Leeuwarden. The former international power forward Jeroen van der List (212-89, college: Indian Hills CC) added 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zwolle maintains fourth position with 7-4 record. Leeuwarden at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Zwolle will play against higher ranked Den Bosch (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Leeuwarden will play against Rotterdam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
