Important game to mention about took place in Plottier. Sixth ranked C.Espanol P. (5-10) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Rocamora (4-11) 92-91 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rocamora. C.Espanol P. made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Rocamora turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Rocamora was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Marcelo Piuma (197-83) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American forward Khapri Alston (196, college: Midwestern St.) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Martin Gandoy (194-91) replied with 21 points and 5 assists and forward Joaquin Deck (198-92) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rocamora. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted C.Espanol P. maintains sixth position with 5-10 record, which they share with Independiente. Rocamora at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. C.Espanol P. will play against La Union (#8) in Colon in the next round. Rocamora will play on the road against Petr.Argentino in Plaza Huincul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
