Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked VL Pesaro (3-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Scandone AV (8-3) 83-78 on Sunday. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Jason Rich (191-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Forward Maarten Leunen (206-85, college: Oregon) helped adding 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Eric Mika (208-95, college: BYU) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and guard Dallas Moore (185-94, college: N.Florida, agency: 3Eye) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Scandone AV maintains second place with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader Germani BR, which they share with EA7 Armani. Loser VL Pesaro dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Scandone AV will meet at home Betaland Cdo (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. VL Pesaro will play against MIA-RO Cantu (#8) and hope to secure a win.
