Rather predictable result when third ranked Diamond Dolphins (10-13) won against 6th ranked Shimane Magic (5-18) in Nagoya 85-70 on Sunday. Guard Takaya Sasayama (178-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 assists. Guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-92) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Shota Watanabe (180-93) added 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Shimane Magic. Five Diamond Dolphins and four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Diamond Dolphins moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Shimane Magic lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with 18 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will face Toyama Grouses (#4) on the road in the next round. Shimane Magic will play against Nishinomiya S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
