Regular Season Round 24: Kumamoto V. - Toyotsu FE 87-77

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Toyotsu FE (13-10) on the court of third ranked Kumamoto V. on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Kumamoto V. 87-77. It was a good game for Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Herbert Hill (208-84, college: Providence) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Toyotsu FE. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kumamoto V. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ehime OV. Toyotsu FE lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with ten games lost. Kumamoto V. is looking forward to face Kagawa FA (#5) in Takamatsu in the next round. Toyotsu FE will play at home against Cyberdyne IR (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
