Regular Season Round 12: Porvoon Tarmo - FoKoPo 84-78

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked Porvoon Tarmo (2-10) beat at home 10th ranked Forssan Koripojat (3-9) 84-78. It looked good early as Forssan Koripojat took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Porvoon Tarmo had a 26-17 second period charge getting the lead and Forssan Koripojat was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-84. The best player for the winners was forward Michael Besselink (198-99) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Joona Tuomala (197-97) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Porvoon Tarmo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Markus Molenius (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard John Merchant (187-89, college: Dowling) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Porvoon Tarmo maintains eleventh position in Division with 2-10 record. Forssan Koripojat at the other side keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. Porvoon Tarmo's next round opponent will be Jarvenpaa (#12) on the road.
