An exciting game was played in Aguadulce. First ranked Caballos faced 3rd placed Correcaminos. Host Caballos (6-1) defeated guests from Colon (3-4) 75-65. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American point guard CJ Rodriguez (188-94, college: S.Nazarene) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists. The former international Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Caballos' coach David Rosario allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nicaraguan center Bartel Lopez (212-89, agency: Paris Global Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Isaac StRose (190-83, college: John Brown) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Caballos have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Defending champion Correcaminos keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Toros. Caballos will play against Aguilas (#5) in Panama City in the next round. Correcaminos will play at home against the league's second-placed Panteras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
