Regular Season Round 11: Tokyo Big Blue - Tokyo Excel. 54-92

Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-10) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to fifth ranked Tokyo Excel. (7-3) 92-54 on Sunday evening. Tokyo Excel. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tokyo Big Blue's players. It was a great evening for American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) helped adding 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Excel. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Tokyo Big Blue still closes the standings with ten games lost. Tokyo Excel. will face Toyoda Gosei (#5) in Aichi in the next round. Tokyo Big Blue will play on the road against Kagoshima (#7) in Renova and hopes to get finally their first victory.
