Regular Season Round 22: Santos - Aaguacateros 81-80

The most exciting game of round 22 in the LNBP took place in San Luis Potosi. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Aaguacateros (9-11) to eighth ranked Santos (9-11) 81-80 in the game for the seventh place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Aaguacateros. American forward Curtis Withers (203-84, college: Charlotte, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. International forward Irwin Avalos (201, college: Dallas Baptist) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Santos moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Aaguacateros. Santos is looking forward to face higher ranked Toros (#6) in Nuevo Laredo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aaguacateros will play on the road against Capitanes in Mexico and are hoping to win this game.
