Regular Season Round 14: Isernia - Cassino 50-67

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Isernia (2-12) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Cassino (10-4) 67-50 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (196-80, agency: Players Group) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Biagio Sergio (197-86) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Andrea Murolo (179-96) produced 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Alberto Razzi (196-97) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Loser Isernia dropped to the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. Cassino will face Roma Tiber (#8) at home in the next round. Isernia will play against Scauri (#9) and hope to win that game.
