Regular Season Round 18: Gomel-Sozh - Olimpia 72-78

Very significant was Olimpia's (#1, 16-0) victory against 4th ranked Gomel-Sozh (7-7) 78-72. Olimpia made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Olimpia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) notched 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Natallia Dashkevich (188-88) supported her with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) by guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) did not help to save the game for Gomel-Sozh. Center Alesia Lalovich (188-79) added 16 points and 9 rebounds. Five Olimpia and four Gomel-Sozh players scored in double figures. Olimpia (16-0) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Gomel-Sozh at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Olimpia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Grodno to the arena .
