Regular Season Round 17: Toyama Grouses - Yokohama BC 64-66

The most exciting game of round 17 in the B League took place in Toyama. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Toyama Grouses (9-14) to sixth ranked Yokohama BC (6-17) 66-64 in the game for the fourth place. The former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Yokohama BC's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas, agency: Inception Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and international forward Naoki Uto (188-91) added 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Toyama Grouses. Yokohama BC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Toyama Grouses lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Niigata Albirex. Yokohama BC is looking forward to face Niigata Albirex (#5) at home in the next round. Toyama Grouses will play against the league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
