Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Doha: Qatar Sports Club (#3) and Al Sadd (#4). Qatar Sports Club (6-1) won against visiting Al Sadd (4-3) 85-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Sadd. It was a great shooting night for Qatar Sports Club especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Al Sadd's players. American forward Nick West (208-94, college: Alabama A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The other American import guard Brandan Kearney (198-92, college: Detroit Mercy) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American-Albanian forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Babacar Dieng (198-97) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Al Sadd. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Qatar Sports Club have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Gharafa and Al Arabi. Al Sadd at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Wakrah. Qatar Sports Club's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Shamal.
