We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Batumi (5-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Cactus Tbilisi (6-5) 77-69 on Tuesday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cactus Tbilisi made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Deondre Parks (185-92, college: S.Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Terik Bridgeman (198, college: William Pater.) who added 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Ishmael Hollis (203-92, college: N.Georgia) with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian center Stefan Andrejevic (206-93) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Four Batumi players scored in double figures. Batumi's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cactus Tbilisi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Batumi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Cactus Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Dinamo Tbilisi.
