Regular Season Round 10: Blois - Charleville 93-85

Date: December 19, 2017
Bottom-ranked Charleville-Mezieres (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-85 loss to fifth ranked ADA Blois (7-3) in Blois. It looked good early as Charleville-Mezieres took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then ADA Blois had a 29-16 second period charge getting the lead and Charleville-Mezieres was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-93. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 26 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Dom Morris (201-90, college: Boston U.) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Alexandre Moisy (175-95) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Charleville-Mezieres. Charleville-Mezieres' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADA Blois have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nancy and Saint-Chamond. Charleville-Mezieres at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. ADA Blois will play against JA Vichy (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Charleville-Mezieres will play against the league's leader Entente Orleans 45 (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
