Sixth-ranked Tochigi Brex (10-14) gave a tough game to third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (17-7) on Wednesday. The visitors from Tokyo managed to secure only three-point victory 66-63. However their fans expected easier game. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Four Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Seiji Ikaruga (185-94) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) scored 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tochigi Brex's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hitachi Sunrockers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Chiba Jets. Tochigi Brex lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the third position with 14 games lost.
