Regular Season Round 14: L'Hospitalet - Cambados 93-87

Very expected game when 9th ranked Cambados (7-7) was defeated on the road by second ranked L'Hospitalet (10-4) 93-87 on Wednesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cambados was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of L'Hospitalet, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Devin Schmidt (193, college: Delta St.) scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. British forward Will Saunders (201-91, college: Charleston So.) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Norwegian forward Karamo Jawara (203-91, college: N.C.Central) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four L'Hospitalet and five Cambados players scored in double figures. L'Hospitalet maintains second position with 10-4 record behind leader Granada, which they share with La Roda and Lucentum. Loser Cambados dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. L'Hospitalet will meet Agustinos-Leclerc (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cambados will play against La Roda (#4) and hope to secure a win.
