The game with biggest result difference took place in Kotka. Local KTP-Basket (7-11) beat 10th ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (3-14) 105-89. It looked good early as Lapuan Korikobrat took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then KTP-Basket took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 16 points. They made 26-of-31 charity shots (83.9 percent) during the game, while Lapuan Korikobrat only scored nine points from the stripe. They outrebounded Lapuan Korikobrat 46-27 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American swingman Jermont Horton (198-84, college: Rutgers-Newark) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Kenneth Simms (206-86, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. American Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington) came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jussi Turja (194-90) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Lapuan Korikobrat in the defeat. Five KTP-Basket and four Lapuan Korikobrat players scored in double figures. KTP-Basket maintains ninth place with 7-11 record. Lapuan Korikobrat lost seventh consecutive game. Lapuan Korikobrat at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. KTP-Basket's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kouvot in Kouvola and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lapuan Korikobrat will play at home against Joensuun Kataja (#7) and hope to win that game.
