Regular Season Round 8: Caballos - Atletico Nacional 84-79

LPB top team - Caballos (7-1) added another victory to their record on Thursday. This time they beat sixth ranked Aguilas (2-5) in Aguadulce 84-79. Caballos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by naturalized American point guard CJ Rodriguez (188-94, college: S.Nazarene) who scored that evening 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) supported him with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds by Daniel King (203-87, college: Texas Southern) did not help to save the game for Aguilas. Jonathan King (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) added 20 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Aguilas' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caballos have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Loser Aguilas stay at the bottom place with five games lost. Caballos will meet at home Toros (#5) in the next round. Aguilas will have a break next round.
