An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Steinsel. First ranked Amicale faced 4th ranked T71. Host Amicale (11-2) smashed guests from Dudelange (8-5) 114-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of T71. They outrebounded T71 49-35 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Amicale players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU, agency: Court Side) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. The former international power forward Billy McDaniel (199-84, college: Ark.-Monticello) contributed with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Denell Stephens (190-86, college: Slippery Rock) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and international point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87) added 23 points and 8 assists in the effort for T71. Amicale have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-2 record. T71 at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Amicale will play against bottom-ranked Heffingen (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. T71 will play against Racing (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
