Regular Season Round 6: Yulon Luxgen - Fubon Braves 69-93

The most interesting game of round 6 was a home defeat of 4th ranked Yulon Luxgen (3-4) by third ranked Fubon Braves (4-3) who outscored them by 24 points 93-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Fubon Braves outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 46-32 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Wei-Chen Liu (190-88) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international center Te-Wei Lee (201-91) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bank of Taiwan. Yulon Luxgen at the other side dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. They share the position with Taiwan Beer. Fubon Braves is looking forward to face KKL (#5) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
