Everything went according to plan when third ranked Shiga L-Stars (11-15) won against on the road 5th ranked Shimane Magic (7-19) 90-78 on Friday. Shiga L-Stars made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Guard Narito Namizato (172-89) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 assists for the winners. American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws) and the other American import forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Shimane Magic's coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shiga L-Stars maintains third place with 11-15 record having nine points less than leader Ryukyu GK, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Newly promoted Shimane Magic dropped to the fourth position with 19 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face Yokohama BC (#6) at home in the next round. Shimane Magic will play against the league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and hope to win that game.
