The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tsmoki-Minsk smashed 9th ranked Brest at home 106-47. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 30. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 25 Brest turnovers and outrebounded them 50-27 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Brest's players. The best player for the winners was forward Maksim Liutych (200-97) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Aleksander Krutikov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Pavel Moroz (193-88) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Grodno-93. Brest at the other side keeps the ninth place with 16 games lost. Brest will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Tsmoki-Minsk will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Brest at home.
