There was no surprise in Bertrange where 10th ranked Heffingen (2-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Sparta (6-7) 80-74 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American forward Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Dean Gindt (201-91) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Ryan Logan (201-94, college: Stonehill) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Jovonni Shuler (195-87, college: Savannah St.) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sparta maintains sixth position with 6-7 record. Heffingen lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Sparta will meet higher ranked Etzella (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Heffingen will play against the league's leader Amicale (#1) and hope to secure a win.
