There was no surprise when 9th ranked KK Vrijednosnice Osijek (3-7) was defeated at home by second ranked KK Zadar (9-1) 88-72. KK Zadar made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. KK Zadar's coach Aramis Naglic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Nikola Turalija (205-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Bruno Markulin (194-92) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for KK Vrijednosnice Osijek in the defeat. Four KK Vrijednosnice Osijek players scored in double figures. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for KK Zadar. KK Zadar maintains second place with 9-1 record behind leader Cedevita, which they share with GKK Sibenik. KK Vrijednosnice Osijek at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Kastela (#13) in Kastela Sucurac which should be an easy win for them. KK Vrijednosnice Osijek will play on the road against Alkar (#10) in Sinj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
