Not a big story in a game in Brissac-Quince where 11th ranked Brissac-Aubance (6-9) was defeated by sixth ranked Rueil (10-5) 78-69 on Saturday. Rueil looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 4 assists. American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) with 18 points and naturalized Ivorian swingman Issife Soumahoro (197-88) scored 12 points. Four Brissac-Aubance players scored in double figures. Brissac-Aubance's coach Morgan Belnou rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rueil have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chartres. Newly promoted Brissac-Aubance dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Souffel. Rueil will meet at home Vendee Challans (#8) in the next round. Brissac-Aubance will play against the league's leader Saint Vallier (#1) and hope to secure a win.
