Regular Season Round 13: Milano - Albino 64-52

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Albino (3-10) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Milano (7-6) 64-52. Milano outrebounded Albino 38-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Paola Novati (184-98) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Milano players scored in double figures. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) answered with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws) and forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Albino. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Milano maintains eighth place in A2 with 7-6 record. Albino at the other side keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Milano's next round opponent will be higher ranked Alpo VF (#3) in Verona and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Albino will play at home against Vicenza (#4) and hope to win that game.
