Everything could happen in Beijing at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Fly Dragons and 11th ranked Monkey Kings had identical 9-10 record. This time Fly Dragons used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Jiangsu 115-108. Strangely Monkey Kings outrebounded Fly Dragons 53-35 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 52.9 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Monkey Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 23 points and 6 assists. Even 40 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) did not help to save the game for Monkey Kings. Forward JJ Hickson (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) added 28 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks for the guests. Four Fly Dragons and five Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fly Dragons (10-10) moved-up to eleventh place. Monkey Kings at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Fly Dragons will have a break next round. Monkey Kings will play on the road against Beijing Ducks (#9) and hope to win that game.
