Regular Season Round 19: Shimane SM - Shiga L-Stars 86-84

A very close game took place in Shimane between Shimane Magic and Shiga L-Stars. Fifth ranked Shimane Magic (7-19) got a very close home victory over 3rd placed Shiga L-Stars (11-15). Shimane Magic managed to escape with a 2-point win 86-84 on Saturday evening. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Narito Namizato (172-89) scored 16 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shimane Magic moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Loser Shiga L-Stars keep the third position with 15 games lost. They share it with Tochigi Brex. Shimane Magic will meet league's leader Ryukyu GK in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will play against Yokohama BC and hope to secure a win.
