The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Leeuwarden's (5-8) road loss to fifth ranked Rotterdam (6-6) 74-83. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Rotterdam brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Belgian point guard Ordane Kanda-Kanyinda (186-96) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 assists. American forward Chris Commons (206-84, college: USC Aiken) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Emile Blackman (190-94, college: Duquesne) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian Deividas Kumelis (188-95) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Leeuwarden. Rotterdam maintains fifth place with 6-6 record. Leeuwarden at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Rotterdam will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leeuwarden will play at home against Den Bosch (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
