Regular Season Round 15: Cassino - Roma Tiber 88-60

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Cassino (11-4) outplayed at home 8th ranked Roma Tiber (6-8) 88-60 on Saturday. Cassino looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for power forward Biagio Sergio (197-86) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Cassino players scored in double figures. Power forward Andrea Valentini (199-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Stefano Napolitano (198-84) added 8 points in the effort for Roma Tiber. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B. Newly promoted Roma Tiber dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Cassino will face higher ranked Valmontone (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roma Tiber will play against the league's leader Basket Barcellona (#1) and hope to win that game.
