Regular Season Round 17: Biofarm PZN - Pogon Prudnik 88-89

A very close game took place in Poznan between Pogon Prudnik and Biofarm PZN. Thirteenth ranked Pogon Prudnik (7-9) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Biofarm PZN (6-9). Pogon Prudnik managed to escape with a 1-point win 89-88 on Saturday evening. Pogon Prudnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) nailed 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-87) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists. Point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) came up with 19 points and 6 assists and swingman Jakub Fiszer (187-95) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Biofarm PZN in the defeat. Five Pogon Prudnik and four Biofarm PZN players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Biofarm PZN lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Pogon Prudnik will meet SKK Siedlce (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Biofarm PZN will play against Kotwica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
